So ballots for the Oscar nominations are due tomorrow, right before the Golden Globes really get the whole mess of awards season into full swing. I don’t get a vote, but that won’t stop a boy from dream voting either (I mean, when have I not done that–I wore a Ross Perot outfit for kindergarten Halloween, and had more John Kerry buttons that a Portland book store).

I want to vote too!! I forget if you already mentioned it, but what did you think about Hugo? I want to see it and have heard really great things, but curious to your opinion!
Hugo was fine, and beautifully designed–but I don’t buy into the hype on this one. The exact same film, if it hadn’t been directed by Scorsese, it would be seen as an expensive children’s movie flop not a Best Picture candidate.
